I've discovered a problem that when you have lots of animated object within a scene I.E a fractured object ,the animated sequence takes FOREVER to prepare. Each frame has a very small render time, currently about 10 seconds but the preparing takes well over a minute. All of the objects are baked to key frames as I assumed that the problem with the preparing times might have had something to do with looking for the location of the alembic on a per frame basis, but that didn't help.. Oh and My scene is very clean with very few tris - 33744.

Anyone know why this might be?

Can you post output logs in Consol window? There's whole times of render progress.
