Will Substance materials eventually work with Unity + Octane? They currently render black with my scene. All other materials seem to convert with textures.

Baking substance material textures (as Paul has done with Modo plug-in) is possible, but we would like to eventually support full procedural substance textures within core of Octane once OSL work is farther along.
