Hi there,
Since 3.06 there's support for displacement filters using the displacement filter type and radius values from the displacement node. This will interpolate displacement values achieving smoother results for the same texture resolution.
This should work on Standalone and most of plugins. Please let me know if that helps.
Arturo.

Hi PAQUITO,
in addition to try with the Filter option, please use 16/32bit images, and avoid overlapping uvs with displacement.
ciao beppe

I thought scale was often a culprit for this kind of funkiness in displacements as well. I almost responded to this last night, but since I never ran into this myself, I thought I'd let others offer up a specific remedy... This is a mountain after all. Could it not be that he needs to tweak the scale settings somewhere?
