Hey guys,
Studio I'm at has two dozen quadro m6000's sitting idle. I have 2 licenses, one for my box with 4 titans, the second I'm not using. If the m6000's are on a rack, is the rack considered a single box for license purposes?
Their IT guy is away until next week, so probably a question better suited to him, but I'm sure there are some people here who could answer.
How many cards does a single license support, and since there doesn't seem to be any render node licenses available (which is just ridiculous imo), is my worst case having to buy two dozen standalone licenses?
Render node options?

Hi,
yes, if you collect some M6000 in a rack, it will count as one Slave.
M6000 scores ~124 in OctaneBench, do should worth to be used. even if there is only one result right now.
On the forum there are examples of 7x, 11x, here are a couple of links about 7x rigs:

There should be also a discussion about a 11x and 20x rig by smicha/Sebastian, but I cannot find them at the moment
About Slave license with single M6000, yes correct, you need a Standalone license for every machine that you want to add to the renfering calculation, but the cost must be compared with how much it cost to you to group and cool the GPUs. The more GPUs you group, the more it costs the cooling.
The max GPU limit in v3 is 20x GPU per Master, internal and external.
Happy Net Rendering,
