I'm trying to export a scene to standalone using the OctaneRender animated scene option.
The scene runs through as it caches, but on save the maya script editor shows the following error:
// Octane engine log:
Relocation map points to the same source asset
Failed to relocate buffers from open packages to "/home/darren/Documents/export/octaneMaya_v01.orbx"
FileName::existsAsFile() can be called only on absolute file names
I've tried saving to our network and locally, but I get the same error. Do you have any ideas what this means?
Thanks,
Darren

Hi Darren
Please make sure the "frame animation extension" parameter is set to name_#.ext from the render setting's Common tab.
Also, here's our latest stable build viewtopic.php?f=109&t=62064.

I have a frame range setup, you can inspect the file by downloading it from the link above, it's a very simple test scene.
Thanks,
D

Your welcome.
Just a note that I have has this working successfully before, so maybe it was introduced in 3.06?

I have found a work-around, this is specific to exporting out a scene using the OctaneRender animated scene option, (the best option for animated scenes with textures etc intact).
In the Export window you can uncheck the 'Export scene as merged alembic node in ORBX package'. The scene will then export without throwing the earlier errors.
The tool-tip states that by unchecking this option that vertex animation will be lost, so it's not a satisfactory solution in some cases. But hopefully that helps narrow down the issue?
Thanks,
D

I'm having the same issue. Exporting a OctaneRender Animated Scene doesn't working 3.06, but it works fine in 3.05. Exporting a single frame OctaneRender Scene works fine in both 3.05 and 3.06.
I'm on MacOS 10.12.6 running 1080 Ti + 1080 + 980 Ti. I've tried exporting locally and over LAN.
