I just found out that even though RebusFarm is now offering GPU rendering, it cannot offer Octane rendering due to a license issue.
I am guessing this is because Otoy wants to keep hold of the service for rendering remotely, but I cannot find a renderfarm service anywhere that offers it. The Octane Render Cloud still shows as unavailable. Any news as to when this will be available?

please email [email protected], while we wait on the new shop page for subscriptions which will include ORC as a new option.

Thanks for your reply, but I am really sorry I don't understand what you mean?
Hi gamedesign,
as reported in the first discussion, please, send an email to [email protected] with "ORC Demo" as subject, until the Shop page has not been updated.
Happy Cloud Rendering,

Is there an estimate to when it'll be available to the regular Joe? Will it work with plugin versions of Octane (Maya)?
GTX 1080 8gb, GTX 970 4gb, I5 4590, Z97-E, 32gb RAM, Win 10 64bits, Octane for Maya
Hi ivankio,
sorry, I have not an ETA on when the shop page will be ready with ORC credits, but the service is already working also with plugins (eg Maya).
Anyway, my suggestion is to always firstly export to Standalone, to check that everything has been correctly translated from the host application into the .orbx file.
Sometimes, some specific options of the host application cannot be correctly translated.
If it works in Standalone, it works smoothly also in ORC.
Then you can export to ORC from your plugin, and even load only the updated nodes, if you make changes after upload.

There are no commercial render farms for Octane render because Octane render does not allow anyone but themselves to have a commercial render farm. This way they have a monopoly on the Octane render farm business and can charge whatever they want. Having a in house farm or using their farm is the only two options.
