Hi!

I try to explane the issue:
say for example that we have 3 materials, and they share one or more nodes (images, gradients, noise, etc), if I need to copy only one of those materials to another scene I have to copy all the materials to which that node is connected, otherwise the node will not be copied.
So i assume that the first material which a node is assigned become the master, and the others the slaves, the master need to be copied along with them to keep the nodes connected, but with a lot of materials the problem is to find the master  ...
It would be nice if when we copy one material all the connections get copied, and when we delete a material the action don't delete also the shared nodes leaving them on the existing materials

thanks
Alex

I don't advice to connect same texture to two materials. It's not well working on C4D system with Octane. It can cause some problems like this or update issues for second material.
