use existing Project causes fatal error on Maya end

Downloaded the latest plugin and every time I try and use an existing project ( I have tried several and even new ones of the simplest scenes...from scratch) I get a fatal error in maya. Win 7 64 bit Maya 2011 Octane 2.45
(I tried 2.44 as well same thing)

Is there a crash log in Maya that I can see that will help a diagnosis?


I have a 700 meg OBJ animation that I need to get out. I can write the OBJ and save teh Octane file but can;t get it to run from maya.

Are there command line instructions anywhere that can use the two files I have to have it run or am I dead in the water?

hm, thats really strange,

coz script uses maya obj exporter to export scene, so can u try to export from maya manually?

file->export->obj
Maya 2009 x64 & Maya 2011 x64

manually works fine
Only when I try and use an existing file

Yeah just rebooted and away we went
