Hello. I have encountered a problem!
If I import an alembic animation (500 frames) into Modo, then I want to skip the first 100 frames and I adjust my settings to just render frame 101 to 200. It seems like Octane starts the Alembic animation from the beginning where I set and wants to start the rendering, I want the alembic file to render its animation frame 101 to 200? In Modos Viewport and rendering the Alembic file starts from its animation frame 101?
I hope you understand my explanation and that I've missed something?

Alembic animation problems...

Sorry for bumping this thread but I also noticed that the Time Properties settings/channels in the Alembic file Item don't work, don't know if it's doable but I would love to have those settings!

Hi - I vague recall an issue like this a long time ago. From memory Octane expects the ABC file timeline to start as frame 0 (ie. there is no way to offset the start time). So this might be an Octane issue, or could be a plugin problem. Do you have a sample you can send me which I can look it in more detail pls?
Thanks
Paul

Hi.
Managed to fix a file, finally!
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/h8c394pgku6i ... 4UNIa?dl=0
In this file the .alembic file have an frame offset off 5 and the scene starts at frame 10 but Octane render the Alembic animation as it starts at fram 0? I did see that Foundry had made some improvements and changes to the Alembic Import/export!
Would also be great if Octane could use the settings in image, but do not know if possible?

Workaround was going back to Houdini and make all the changes and export again!

Thanks. I have confirmed with Otoy that it is not currently possible to have a .ABC file timeline start at a different time to the main scene, but it is something they are planning to support in the future.
