Hi guys, here is a quick test with IES lighting on an very old scene. Render times was impressive compared to a standard emission material.
This is a 4 minutes render on GTX 480 using new Octane 2.45.

Another quick test with IES on a competition scene.
Render time 10 minutes , reached 2900 samples, still quite noisy, but considering that originally scene needed 8 hours to clean it's fast enough..

Hi,
I tried to use 2 different way.
I love the Blackbody, because it gives me more opportunity to control the temperature.

Thanks for the tip
I was putting the IES file in all sorts of places and getting different results.
I took up another suggestion and downloaded a 3dmax file and a set of associated IES files from the erco web site for one of their recessed light fittings.
Set it up in a small test room and stuck it into the ceiling.
Left it for around 35 mins to cook.Had to get rid of the remaining fireflys with the hot pixel removal tool in the end.
The pictures of the result and the fitting are shown attached.
