Hi all,
I hope someone can help me out.
My isp is having some issues and I currently have no interwebs (using my phone ATM.). And so obviously I have no way to render as Octane needs me to sign in.
How does the offline licensing work? Do I need to be connected for the initial sign in/checking the use offline option?
Really would appreciate any input as I'm in a bit of a panic at the moment (desperately need to be rendering)
Thanks

hi, there,
not sure about Lightwave (as I never touched that one), but on Octane Standalone login screen pops out where You have to input Your name & password. if You tick the box below than You can use licence offline, however for initial setup You do need internet connection.
What phone You're using, maybe You have a possibility to make data tethering or share wifi? I sometimes do that if my internet is gone.
Sinc.

So what is the procedure actually ?
If i understood this right this is procedure ?
1. First time it needs internet to sing in and then you check "offline" option.
2. Next time it's locked to that machine and no need for internet connection anymore ?
is that correct ?
and f yes how do you unlock it and go back to online mode ? does that have some counter how many times you can go offline/node lock mode ?

Yes You're right with questions 1 & 2.
about the one ho to log off would be simply open properties & log of. or, use one of unlocks You have in online account. It's allow to use 5 times in profile, but You can log off multiple times from program itself.
Thanks for confirmation. I've not (yet) used offline mode but i wonder what happens after 5th offline lock/unlock in user profile ?glimpse wrote:

technically online unlocks is the last resort, when You could not unlock due to system crash or not physically present tour box.Lewis wrote:Thanks for confirmation. I've not (yet) used offline mode but i wonder what happens after 5th offline lock/unlock in user profile ?glimpse wrote:

so when 5 unlock are gone, You need to write to OTOY & ask them to provide You more.
