hi
i wonder if there is a smart way to render multiple channels at the same time? (like material_id z depth etc.)
right now i do this manually - changing the channels in the kernel setting.
thanks
jorgensen

depending on the software you could save in .exr in multiple layers.. maybe there's a lua script as well

hi acc24ex
sorry - i'm not a advanced user, and was hoping for there was an option for it :-/
i use the standalone version and photoshop.
so simple changing the kernel manually is the 'normal' way to do it?
thanks

Hi Jorgensen,
no needs to be a pro user or Lua scripts, you just need to enable the Render Passes node in your Render Target, tick several passes, Beauty, Lights, Layers, Materials, Info, then, when finished, press the proper Export Render Passes button in the Render Viewport panel.
Please have a look at the new documentation:
Render Passes

well thank you beppe! - you sure are a octane guru
i have selected the passes and then > export the render passes.
and if i select "export render as discrete files" i get all passes as separated files.
i guess i have to use the octane photoshop plugin to import all passes in ome file?
thanks

Hi Jorgensen,
the Photoshop plugin is useful but not essential, you can easily recreate the correct stacking by yourself, depending on the particular set of passes you are using.
You can find an example scene file to download at the end of each article in the documentation of these groups of passes:
Beauty Passes
Post Processing Passes
Render Layer Passes
Lighting Passes
Happy Multi Pass Rendering,
