Hi Sam,
I hope you are doing fine.
Often I have to export Rhino views into octane. Therefor I export the complete scene and grap out the camera node (in octane) and re import it into the master scene (in octane). That is quite a tedious work because all the meshing, parsing and voxeling is done but not needed.
So what would be great is a option to export all stored views to octane camera nodes and name them as in Rhino.
Is this possible to embed? If you don't have time I can try to embed it, but I am not a programmer so it might take me ages. But I would give it a try.
Thanks
Cheers

i agree, this would be great. i end up doing exactly what he's talking about when doing architectural renders, have all my views setup in rhino then have to go through exporting each one and reimporting it into octane.

I work exactly the opposite in creating views around various rooms for for my clients.I model and apply the textures in Autocad / 3dmax.I then export the scene to octane and then create various camera nodes in Octane for different viewpoints and save the result.

Just a different way of working I guess. ;)

To export octane camera nodes as Rhino (or FBX) views/cameras would be nice too, Jaberwocky.
I prefer the Rhino-Way because the camera is easier to handle in Rhino (no gimbal lock problems).
The other reason is that I sometimes get a Rhino-View from a (Rhino) modeller and need to directly transfer it to octane.
