Hey everyone,
Hope I can get some help/feedback... I haven't build a computer in over 8 years so, kinda need the help. Decided for an AMD Ryzen 1700 for budget and performance. Reviews are pretty good so far.
I've never used AMD so I wonder, I shouldn't have any problems using any of the Adobe products or C4D or even Octane right? I am a Senior Motion Artist so this build needs to be able to handle all that and of course it is geared towards Octane Render with some future proofing for adding more cards...btw, this Motherboard allows up to 3 cards am I right?
I appreciate any help/feedback you guys can give me and if you can direct me to better parts for price/performance that would be great too. I'm trying to stay under $2,000 for hardware since I still need to buy a desk and chair, plus other accessories.

Hi,
I would prefer one 1080Ti over 2x 1070, so you can add more gpu later.
And maybe check if you need more power on your psu when you ad more gpu later?
I would prefer windows 8 as long Windows 10 eats a lot of vram of all your gpu.. (see other threads about that if you are not aware of this issue yet)

hi there, just quick notice. I heard some issues C4D is having on Ryzen CPUs. Not sure about them though, but as it's a program You're looking to use, feel free to check, maybe Maxon's forum or so.

Thank you for the heads up! I will definitely check on this. C4D is a huge part of my workflow so it's a must that it works without problems.
What do you think about the GPUs tho? should i do 2x 1070s or maybe one 1080 or 1080ti and a another card for the system like a 1050 or 1060? I just like being able to use lower priority for the system card and 100% on the other card, in my experience performance of the system/Octane is better that way.
