I have two GT video cards to work in the Octane. In Benchwell tests, one is faster than the other in ~1.3 times. But in tests in LW + Octane - one shows a speed 5-10 times higher than the other.
I absolutely do not understand what's the matter.

This is something really weird indeed. Can you please check if you have the "Use for tonemap" option enabled for this external GPU in the Standalone and in the plugin? For speed and stability you should disable this option for the GPUs that are configured using raisers or external GPUs boxes.

Thanks,

April 2 - the same jokes.

With tonemap 'off'- GTX 560Ti simple doing nothing. With tonemap 'on' - it's speed anout 0.7. But the same GTX 560Ti in standalone version of Octane shows 5.xx ms/s

You can't disable the tone map if you are rendering with only one GPU. At least one enabled GPU must have this option also enabled.

You need to enable any of the other internal GPUs with the tonemap option also enabled and disable the tonemap in the external GPU. Can you please make this test to see what happens? ... make it using the plugin and the same version of the Standalone, to see if you get the same performance.

Thanks,

As a result, I changed the thermal paste on all video cards and returned everything to the case.
With the window open and minus 10 on the street, the system works quite normally. What can not you say about me at such temperatures ))
All attempts to configure the operation of an external video card did not lead to the expected results. In all modes, it showed an order of magnitude worse results, despite the fact that in an standalone version of Octane, when working not as a pair, it showed its real potential. But in the pair and in the standalone version of the Octane, its performance fell.
Don't understand...

Sorry. I can't also understand what could be the problem. Let me think about it, but I've never seen this kind of problem before. Usually disable the tonemap option for the external GPUs fix the crashes and performance issues ... but I am talking about very small performance issues, not GPUs 10x slower ...

Thanks,

I changed the GTX 560Ticard to GTX 780 and everything works - both in a slot connection and through a riser. Very strange!...
