Hello,

Is it possible to do long exposure with Octane? and if so, how do I set the camera shutter to stay open longer than 1 frame?

Thank you.

Hi,

Nope, sorry. Currently the plugin only supports 1 frame length motion blur. I'll check if this feature could be easy to add for a future build.

Thanks,

Hi Juanjo,

Thank you for the reply. I actually found out that for what I was trying to achieve, I can use the trail SOP. I was wanting to do a "light streak/trail" effect. Know I need to figure out how to make initial particles slowly fade away. I'm going to try to input "$F-($F/1.5)" in trail length and see what I get. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thank you.

Has this ever been improved/implemented?

Hi Alexey, not to my knowledge - although there have been improvements with MB in the plugin in general.
You may have to use motion trails with fast moving objects to get super long streaks.
