Automatic material update - issues

Hi

I have "Auto-Update Previews" turned off. So if I change octane material to see the changes on the thumbnail I have to manually refresh it - and that is ok.

But whenever I change something in the material, change thumbs size, or - the most important - change the name of the material - It wants to refresh - and turns to default rhino material view.

Is it possible to prevent it so it stays as it was all the time? Is it octane or Rhino issue?

Hi Mac - this looks like a Rhino issue. If I turn ON auto-update previews the problem is resolved. But you are right - with that setting OFF the icon changes to black when you rename the material. I checked in the debugger, and Rhino is not asking the plugin to re-render the icon after the name change, so I don't think it's a plugin issue.
