I purchased a model as an obj recently but all the textures are missing, which is fine because i would like to replace them with Octane materials but is there an easy way to separate the elements in this scene? I've been selecting polygons and ones connected to each object but it's taking me hours. Wondering if anyone has any tips on a better way to import or to separate the elements. I've just purchased the Riptide plugin but haven't received the serial yet, so haven't been able to give it a shot to see if it would help. Not sure if the model itself was created this way or if it's an import issue from my end.

Hi RouseandFable,
do you have also a .mtl file along with the .obj file?
If yes, you can open it with a text editor and check if the materials are specified or not.
Then you can import them with R18, that has been improved in the .obj import:

Or wait for Riptide activation, it has all the necessary options and more.

Actually it did come with a .mtl file and it works just fine when opening it. Thanks so much bepeg4d. Just saved me hours of work :)
