Anyone still using 1.20 in Max?

I'm about to jump into a Subscription when I see that 2017 Max is not supported....I can install 2016 but want to hear how Octane has evolved since 1.20 to today from a Max user that has moved from student to subscription.

Subscription fully compatible with 3dsMax 2017 and windows 10.
