If I understand correctly, you should scale your object instead of the environment map. Or just simply move the camera closer if you can.

И еще раз попытаюсь объяснить чего же мне очень сильно не хватает.
Мне нужно настроить отражения интерьера в мебели. Когда вставляю карту отражения, мебель получается игрушечного размера. Получается как будь то у камеры угол зрения допустим 50градусов а в ХДРке градусов 5 или 10.
Есть возможность уменьшить размер самой карты, до приемлемого. Но при этом виртуальная сфера остается такой же огромной, а карта с окружением многократно дублируется. Ничего хорошего опять не получается.

I think is confusing HDRI usually are use at latlong format so spherical , Octane use as spherical , other softs use sometimes cube or dome... anyway all this options is just to have a average of the reflection because you have to shoot your HDRI at place to get a "perfect reflection".
My advise to you is create like everyone does at this industry feature films or advertising, You have to project you hdri at your custom shape . For example create a quick cube as the room shape and project on the custom shape as spherical projection if your HDRI are on latlong format, You should have the right reflections for that. but again this is "lighting Technics" nothing to do it with Octane but of course this way you loose the importance sampling from the sunsky node. but you can also use the sunsky to emit light and then for the reflection use the custom shape.
From Otoy side we could ask to make have a option to add a custom shape (mesh) at sunsky node for example cube, dome or other so if is possible use importance sampling on them.???
