Hi, I've uploaded a project file that shows what appears to be a bug.

Seems that splines with soft body dynamics are not exported correctly. I have another project where a Plane softbody isn't showing up as deformed either, but I can't reproduce that in a smaller isolated project.

Any thoughts? Workarounds?

It looks like a bug in the Dynamics tag: The generator cache is not updated properly. You can see that, when you try to make the circle spline editable or when you try to convert the current state to an object. There is unfortunately nothing I can do, as the data that is delivered to the plugin is incorrect. Even baking doesn't help (tested in C4D R12.043).

-> I don't know how to solve this problem.

Cheers,
Marcus

Does anyone know if this works in v12 now?

I tried it in the very last official version of C4D (12.043) and it does not work there.

Sorry,
Marcus

Is that the only thing that holds you back? It's only affecting the export of softbody spline objects. Everything else works fine...

Marcus

Have chewed on the price for some time, expensive for someone who only has this as a hobby
But I have to go for the deal, C4D is so beautiful, strong wow effect. will probably not regret this choice
