octane crash r17, now won't start program

I use the subscription version of Octane V3 with c4d r17 on OS X. I was editing an Octane material and suffered a program freeze (Cinema 4D not responding). I force quit, and now c4d won't start up. It gets stuck on "Initialising Plugins"

I have restarted the mac, trashed the c4d prefs folder, but still it won't start. How do I fix it?

Can anyone help me with this? c4d r17 won't start up!

Is there somewhere else I need to go for support?

Be sure firewall is not blocking plugin. It needs to be activated on startup.

No firewall is running.

I've removed Octane from the plug-ins folder, trashed c4d prefs, restored the mac and c4d opens normally. Then I re-installed the Octane Plugin and c4d won't start, gets stuck on 'initialising plugins'

so by deleting the Octane folder in my OS X user library, I got a bit further. The OctaneRender Activation window pops up. When I enter my details nothing happens.

Looking online, it seems my licence is locked. Have emailed support. Why is this and what do I need to do?

Check it with standalone. Run that and try to download and render some materials. Plugin should work If it's ok.

I didn't have the standalone installed. Have now downloaded it and installed it. It doesn't start up, gets stuck on the splash screen.

Could you render ever somethings before? What about your GPU type and CUDA driver?

Everything has been working fine for 2 weeks. Then while editing an Octane material, c4d stopped responding. I force quit c4d, and since then it has never launched, always gets stuck on launching Octane plug-in. Without Octane in plug-ins folder it launches normally.

I suppose that you have a problem about gpu+drivers or internet connection to Otoy server. Can you post some screen shots from full screen of standalone startup on stuck? And check your cuda/nvidia driver.
