Plugin purchase? Free?

Hi,
sorry for this noob question, but searched and didn't find the info.

I've been using OctaneRender for Blender, and want to use OctaneRender for Carrara.

I downloaded the 2.25.0092 plugin onthis page to use with Carrara 8.5, but see
a "purchase page" link that is not valid.

Is the plugin free to use with OctaneRender Standalone?

Hello megacal,

you always have the standalone Octane and a certain plugin for the program you use.
So you have to purchase the plugin for Carrara (https://home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/purchase/)
There you can find the list of plugins.

Just a few more questions....

Is there a demo of the Carrara plugin?

Can you use Octane for Blender & Octane for Carrara at the same time on the same machine?

Do you need a separate Standalone license for each combo?

Hi,

As far as I know, there is only a demo version of 2.0 -> https://home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/demo/

But this should be enough to test some things.

You can have a bunch of plugins (Maya, Max, Carrara, Blender) on one machine and you will only need one standalone version. If you want to do network rendering, you need another standalone version on the other computer; a plugin, however, is not necessary then.
