OK, I'm completely fed up with this.
I know that I need to make sure that the latest version of the standalone matches with the latest version of the plugin for C4d. But when you look at the list of version numbers, THEY DONT MATCH to the actual downloads. ?????? So if I click on 3.04.3 I actually get 3.04.5???? Then I install it, go to render with my second license on the slave machine and I have a version conflict. Thats on top of the repeated login errors I'm getting from the standalone. Without warning, and while on deadline, the slave machine simply stops being recognized because it claims that it is not logged in. So I attempt to login, it refused to take a password. Then I contact tech support, they tell me load the latest version, it fixes this know problem. So I load the latest and THEY DONT MATCH and I get a incorrect version error message.
This was understandable 2 years ago. It is no longer acceptable. I have multiple projects on serious deadline, requiring round the clock Octane rendering. But I cant rely on the password login. I dont know if this is a plugin or an OTOY failure, but this has got to be fixed.
Second time in a few months I've had to put up with this... Please help anyone. Totally confused and frustrtated...
Version confusion

Hi,
What is happening is that the version number in the downloads section is not correct and it links to the forum post for the latest version, where you can see what the actual number is, which corresponds as you say to 3.04.5.
Thanks for reporting this and apologies for the inconvenience, it will be changed shortly.
As I see you keep having troubles with your session I'd appreciate if you could answer to any of my posts when I tried to solve your problem last time you complained about it:

If you could please follow up that would be appreciated so we can find out the reason for your problem.
Thank you.

Thanks for the input and the explanation. Not sure why my slave machine has dumped me out of the registration again, but I was able to get it resolved late last night by rolling back to old version.
I'm confused about the other threads. The last time we did this I was communicating via email directly with a support ticket. I dont have a memory of this being resolved at all by forum. If I dropped the ball I apologize. But I'm confused about how some of the comments that I sent via email made it to the forum. Also, is there a way change my forum account so that I get emails when someone has responded? At the moment I have no way of knowing other than checking back in randomly, as I did today.

BTW, I just remembered, after we had solved the problem via support ticket I got repeat emails attempting to solve the issue even though we already had. I assumed they were duplicate sends and ignored them, since you guys had already solved my problem, and I indicated as much. I even filled out the form a few days lter asking for my input on how the experience had gone

No worries, I understand that.
Happy to see that got solved but I'd still like to find out why you are having all this problems, as other users will benefit of this getting fixed.
If this happens again, and while you are prompted to sign in, could you please copy the following file and send it to me via PM?
I suspect this could be caused by network issues, and one thing you may consider if this happens again is to sign in using offline licensing mode, just take into account your license won't be released automatically as it would usually be but just by explicitly using the sign out functionality from either standalone or an Octane plugin.
