Is it possible to get an UV map name inside surface editor instead of 1,2 or 3. I am not sure which UV map I am using so I can't know exactly which one should I edit in Modeler.

I remember a limitation in the LW SDK to get the names, but I'll check it again.

Sometimes an object has 20 UV maps but a part of object is using only one so in Octane it is UV Map 1 but in modeler which one is it ? I know I can inspect point properties but still it would be easier with UV map naming.

open the uv view in modeler...select some polys in the uv and click select connect...all connected polys are one uv...you can copy than this "object part" into another layer...(and this layer would have only one uv)
normaly a object have only one uv. only a lw hack/feature make it possible that a object include more than one uv...but thats not conform to all other 3d apps...(include octane)
rules for lw/octane pipline. one object layer > one uv... :)
