Can some one help me understand how the total scene vram is calculated?

Textures+Geometry+Frame buffer = total vram? or am I missing something?

Hi jeickholt,
in Standalone, with the scene loaded, go to Preferences/Devices. Here you can find all the info you are searching for:

I'm working in C4D so I'll try the 'edit in standalone' to check out the Devices tab in the stand alone. Thanks for the info, I have never even opened the stand alone... I will check that out!
