Hey everybody...

so i want to import my textures in the UE 4 after i exported them with Octane. So the last few days i tried to gather as much information as i could about the workflow. I still can't get everything together as it seems.

So i read in another post here that i have to export the following things :
- Raw
- Diffuse
- Diffuse filter

Mojave already told a member where he can find the Raw option in 3ds Max plugin but i still can't figure out where it should be in the C4D version.

I see the Diffuse Direct and the Diffuse Indirect and i am not sure what to choose. This is not the same like Diffuse and Diffuse filter, right ?

Lets pretend i find these things with your help now.
I would do the following things : ( ZombieDisco posted that in another post)

This is how the in-development plugin for UE works. If you want to try separating out the lighting pass manually:
1. Go to render passes and check "Raw", "Diffuse" and "Diffuse filter"
2. Bake the Diffuse pass and save it as "lighting.png"
3. In UE, set your material to be 'Unlit" and use an Add node to combine your original diffuse texture and the lighting image from above. Connect the diffuse to "base colour" and the combined passes to "emissive".

So is this everything i need to export ?

Would be cool to get some help here as i saw some people already did that, because i would definitely waste a lot of time figuring these things out on my own. And also there are for sure people in the future who are interested in the same thing and are happy to see a workflow already written down :)

Thanks in advance,
Jens
