Guys,
I've been testing 780, 1060 and 1070 and by a chance we (with Godstrike) have come to something very worrying:
the same scene that renders on 3.04.4 on gtx 780 3:56 min; but 2:38 min on 3.03.4.
Settings are exactly the same.
Any hints what is going on?
3.03 vs 3.04 - massive speed drop in PT - WHY?

strange..I'll try to do test on my gm110 card & ask my friend to render on 1070. is there a chance to get the scene? (so we would have the same file).

So what is very striking is gpu usage (not gpu power): for gtx 780 in 3.03 it is 100%, in 3.04.4 it is 85% (tile and parallel samples are maxed out).

I have also been testing this with one of my scenes, and while the times are similar in this case, the actual results are not.
The image rendered by 3.04 is quite blown out and over-exposed as opposed to when it's rendered in 3.03 (this has also been verified when the images are saved and opened in Photoshop).

Can you set parallel and tile samples to max values?

So it's scene dependent.Godstrike wrote:3.03 --> 3:06

Obviously, scenes should render the same between versions. There should also be no dramatic speed changes, but without an example scene showing the problem, we can't say much more. Obviously, the tests we ran before we release didn't show any issues.
-> Please post/send us any example scenes and we will investigate as soon as possible.
