a friend of mine was in christchurch, but everything seemed ok in the city!
he said the effect was more noticable towards the north and the little towns

The main problem for us in Christchurch is that when you get woken up in the middle of the night by an EQ that lasts for a minute, is you're wondering if it's going to get worse and also it brings all of the bad memories back from 5-6 years ago... :(
Anyway, all our support goes out to those people up in Kaikora who have been affected this time around.
