Hey Everybody,

I'm using the Octane render in Cinema 4D R17.055 and I got this weird problem.
I wanted to use a Video file (Quicktime with Alpha) to make just the robot's eyes to glow, while it looks perfectly fine in the live viewer, yet the whole texture glows completely when I'm rendering the scene.

I've tried to do the same with Texture Emission and with a Video File that has no Alpha (H.264 mp4) and I get the same results.

Any Ideas what could cause that problem?

Thanks alot!

Using video files as textures inside 3D renders is generally a bad idea. Way too many things can go wrong as your system tries to dig up the one frame it needs from the Quicktime file.

Try converting the Quicktime to an image sequence. Cinema4D seems to run super smooth with TGAs.
