Any suggestion would be a big help. The only thing that help so far was to turn off OpenGL in the viewport, but this makes the very slow. I tried turning off Cuda in the nvidia control panel for the Quadro 4000 but made no difference.

Your crash is ended at nvidia driver. So it's most likely not a bug for Octane. How it occurs? Where? Did you tried to pull off your quadro?

Disabling the Quadro 4000 in the device manager and using on GTX 780ti for the monitors has improved the performance a lot.

How can I tell which GTX 780ti the monitors are connected to, so I can correctly set the performance priority?

Are you sure your power supply is sufficient? In that case
A Q4000 really should handle viewports perfectly. I would hook up the monitors to the Q4000, untick the Q4000 as render device, and let the 5x 780ti handle rendering. And maybe the Q4000 has insufficient memory for your scenes, but the 780ti`s do.

The 5x 780ti have a 1300W supply to themselves in a PCIe expansion chassie.

The Quadro 4000 is inside the computer using the internal supply, 850W i think. A HP Z800 standerd one.

The probelms is defeinltiy related to OpenGL being enable in C4D. The Quadro 4000 has always been untick and left for displays only.
