Hello,
I've been curious about the export Materials/Convert when rendering. This happens every time I click the render button, even if the materials are Octane materials. This isn't a big deal on smaller scenes but when I have a lot of materials it takes quite a while. I'm just curious why it needs to export/convert the materials every time I click to start a render in live viewer? It seems if nothing has changed on the materials it should skip over them, which would save a lot of time. Any thoughts? Thanks.

It's converting all c4d materials to octane material system. Converting is not taking 1 millisecond. Loading of images to Octane renderer that's taking time. It loads them to octane world to be ready for rendering.
One thing that i missed to explain. If you have c4d shaders in octane materials that will take much time to pre-render in plugin side. Keep in mind and try to don't use these as much as possible.

Thanks for the quick response! So do you have any recommendations for materials to speed up the process? For example, only using jpeg textures, and keeping the resolution down if possible? Right now we are using psd files and 8k textures and I'm guessing that is adding some time to the overall process..
