Hi, when border render is checked in dimension panel max.preview sample setting is ignored.
Preview render does not stop at 100 samples for example.

OctaneRender™ =VR= for Blender 3.03.4 - 11.0 Linux

Opensuse Leap 42.1 x86_64
Intel i5 3570K
RAM 16 GB
GTX 760 4 GB /Display card
GTX 670 2 GB
Driver 367.44
opencl_runtime_16.1_x64_sles_5.2.0.10002

Just for info: I had to add symlink libbz2.so.1.0 to libbz2.so.1.0.6.
On Opensuse only libbz2.so and libbz2.so.1 symlinks are included.

Cheers, mib

This is not a plugin bug, this is how region render works in Octane core.

Since V3 core there's the new "Film Region" in Octane.

The Octane "Render Region" tool and its unlimited samples as little to do with Blender "Border Render".
This tool only make sens on top of finished render, to get rid manually of the noise in difficult areas (usually called "region of interest").

But the Octane "Film Region " feature is definitely a perfect match with Blender "Render Border" functionality, don't you think ?

NB:
By the way a viewport helper tool for the "Film region" has just been added in standalone 3.0.4
