Hi all,

Sorry i didn't find how to make a double sided material :(
I have a plane with a texture on opacity which emits light. (see attachement)
The problem is that it not emits light from both sides of the polygon.
In modo you just turn "double sided" and it's done.
How to do that in Octane?

Thanks!

Hi - I think you would need to use two emitter squares - both sharing the same vertices, but each pointing the opposite direction.

Thank you Paul.

It's an easy solution for a light but for more complex geometry it means I have to double polycount to obtain twosided surfaces :(

Hi Maciej - this is a general Octane issue - so may I suggest you post your issue in the Octane Standalone 3.03.4 thread, where to Otoy devs will see it.

Thanks
