I know Octane can render stereo 360, but can it render Omni-Directional Stereo (ODS)? This is the format that Google cardboard likes for environments and such vs. a typical stereo 360 render which doesn't account for the actual movement of the eyes as you turn your head. Here's an article on it: https://developers.google.com/vr/jump/r ... ontent.pdf
Note that the renders look very similar, but actually have some slight distortion in other areas based on the perspective of the eyes which are used when rendered inside cardboard, so a stereo 360 render out of Octane would not do. Anyone who's experimented with this, I'd love to hear your findings. Thanks!
ODS render out of Octane?

Are there any news on this? Is octane's panoramic / stereoscopic setting maybe outputting these ods-images by default if both settings are activated?
