Hi everyone.
Can you tell me please, did Octane let instance (place) geometry in the poins?
I've a lot places where I need to place geometry but I can't do it manualy. It's very hard to do it manualy.
In modo it calls Replicators.
Fast placement reference objects in geometry.

Do you mean you want to place around models, but not inside your main scene because it makes it cluttered and too heavy?
Phantom Scatter can be a solution for you here, it designed entirely around instancing: http://scatter.phantomtechnology.nl/

I'd like export polygons or vertex as placement geometry to octane and use as positions for copy geometry.

Yes I got that covered, I called it PER TRI-scatter mode. Essentially it creates an instance for every triangle:

I use it myself to place objects like cars and hedges in my architectural models, but you can use the data to place around any kind of model ofcourse.
Model your scene --> in Phantom Scatter just configure which triangles need to create instances --> export data --> use instancing *.CSV file for instancing in Octane
Hope that solves your problem

Is it possible didm't use other 3d software? Just way to simply expott geometry to scatter?
