Hi,
Is network rendering only available via 3.02? It says invalid version when I try to render with 3.03.4
Best wishes,
Thomas

The slaves must have exactly the same version as the master. So if you installed a plugin with Octane version 3.03.4, the slaves must also have version 3.03.4.tschwenke wrote:Hi,

Hi Sighman,
Thanks for your answer. I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. I installed Octane Standalone Version 3.03.4 and installed the latest Carrara Plugin (3.0.20.13). Network rendering witht the standalone version works fine. Rendering with Carrara does not work because it says invalid version. So, do you mean, I have to go back to version 3.03.3?
Best wishes,
Thomas

The latest plugin version is 3.03.03.20 available here. If you look at the first three numbers of the version number it tells you the version number of octane that the plugin was built against. In this case 3.03.03. You can also open the plugin's about box in Carrara to see the octane version number. This is the version that the remote nodes MUST be at in order to work with the plugin.
You can install both 3.03.03 and 3.03.04 at the same time on the remote nodes but you must start the correct version for the main host you are using.
