Hello,
So I'm currently using Cinema 4d version 16.050 and Octane 3.03.3, however this issue happened with Octane 2 and I just dealt with it. Whenever I send a render to the render queue, (with passes) after some time (its different everytime, sometimes 50 frames sometimes 130 frames) the render queue hangs and then freezes cinema 4d causing me to open task manager and then force quit. I don't get a crash error or anything else, the whole thing just freezes and the Render Time stops as well.
How do I generate a log so someone could possibly help me? I can also post my scene file if it helps, but I've had this issue happen many times regardless of the scene. Most of the time I just have to use the Picture Viewer, but that sucks because I have to render scenes one by one.
My setup is currently Windows 10 with a GTX Titan X and GTX670.
Thanks!
Hanging render when using Render Queue

There is no technical difference between RQ and PV rendering for plugin side. It's handled by same way for me. That's a mysterious report to me because of this.
My estimation is you're out of VRAM for some reason or GPU are producing errors on this phase and plugins stucks on gpu program. And doesn't produce a crash.
Please notice that how/when happened. Any special action at this stuck? I don't think any log will help here.

There's no real rhyme or reason as to when or why it happens...Maybe I'll try to use solely the Titan and turn off the 670 and see if that helps. I just rerendered my scene and it got stuck at frame 252 out of 450. The first time it got stuck it was on frame 129.
Have you ever seen an issue like this before?

I have several times attempted to reproduce this issue. But works well. I can't know without reproducing.

I tried turning off the 670 and only using the Titan however the issue still persists. This time it only got through 47 frames...my display driver is up to date using the GeForce Experience app to keep all my drivers up to date.

Running an intel core i7 3770k with Gigabyte motherboard UD5H, 16GB ram, 850 watt PSU, Samsung Evo SSD...nothing short of standard.slepy8 wrote:I have exactly same issue!
In my opinion it's display driver problem.
What is your HW setup and system?
If you start digging, you'll discover:
- some problems occur when GPUs on one system are in different architecture
- since driver 350.XX, Windows 10 users have lot's of problems with various GPUs.
And Nvidia doesn't rush themself on getting it fixed.

Would you recommend reinstalling the 350 driver?
In fact I didn't check this solution.
I'm stuck because 350.XX driver doesn't work with display GPU I'm using and doesn't work after Windows Anniversary Update.
Nontheless it's up to you to try it if you can. Maybe it could be a solution. But there is no guarantee.
I read tons of negative opinions on recent display drivers from Nvidia for Windows 10 desktops.
