Highlight compresion

Does the highlight compresion only work with the beauty pass?
When I layer my multipasses the highlight compesion seems to be gone.

have you chosen the tonemapped option instead of linear?

i now tried "tonemap type: tonemapped" but this doesn´t change anythink

Any idea why this feature in spelled wrong in the UI?
If I'm not mistaken, it should read: "Highlight compression", not "hightlight compresion"
