i wonder why it's not possible to have multiple sessions running on the same machine?
if i have more than one session of sketchup open - i'm only able to render using the first one.
is that intended?

That's a good point. I think I can see how to make this work; I'll add it to our plan.

We will need to run some thorough testing to assess this. It is possible that running two separate Octane rendering instances could trigger some edge case issues. We will have to get back to you on that. We are pushing towards Octane 3.1 with every release across our products, and internal changes to the rendering core will need to be accounted for before we can make a firm statement. We will do our best to keep you updated.
