Hi there,

Sorry for the question but I am pretty noob with Octane.
When I change (or assign a new) material, the IPR doesn't refresh.
I could refresh it manually with the refresh button, but it would take a disgusting amount of time as the scene is pretty big (11m polygons).
And by disgusting, I mean something like 23 minutes only to START the render...(btw: is it normal?)

I have a dual Xeon 5560 with a GTX970 and Win7.

I have a work to finish FAST and I would really need some help with this...
Thanks to everyone who is going to answer!

Eugenio

If you want IPR to refresh when there is a change of material the object must use the "Movable proxy" geometry type.

And there no way you could have guessed that, just one of the quirk of the plugin. :(

well 11m polygons is a lot, you're lucky to not crash,
the plugin is very slow to export high poly number, it was coded when VRAM was way lower ,
but if your objects don't use the "Global" geometry type, exporting geometry should be faster.

Good luck ! ;)
