Hello all!

I was wondering if there are any weird and wacky tricks in Octane to get around it's realistic (unbiased) use of shading & lighting in Cinema 4d? If there are, I think this would be a great place to list these tricks right here in this thread!

Examples of what I mean (I know these have been asked before)...
Is there a way to exclude objects from specific lights? I know there are not any intended ways to do this, BUT are there any work-arounds?
Is there a way to create a glow (Linear or Radial) that does not cast light, reflect, or receive shadows?
Is there a way to hide an object from a reflection? Again, I know there are no intended ways to do this, but maybe there is another work-around?

If there are any techniques that you would like to share, no matter how minor they may seem, it could really help someone out in our community.

The only trick I have for now...
A luminance shader that WILL NOT illuminate objects or receive shadows:
I use a blackbody emission in the emission channel and turn off cast illumination and make the power value really low till I see the color I picked from RGB Spectrum. Sometimes I change the color temperature if the range that I need is between blues and oranges. Hope this helps someone out there. If there is an easier way I'd love to hear it! :)

Thanks!
