Thinking about getting a license of Octane to learn on at home, my laptop is a 2016 version of the dell xps. It comes with an Nvidia 960m card; anyone have experience using Octane with that card?

Thanks!

Hi qbellow,
sorry, I don't have a direct experience, but according to OctaneBench, 960m has an average score of 33. Take in mind that, if the laptop has only one GPU, it is also taxed in performance and VRAM by the display.
I guess it should be good for learning, but maybe it's better wait that other users will share a direct experience

I have a laptop with a 960M, and Octane runs nicely on it.

Thank you for the info guys! I'm still debating whether or not to purchase Octane, but I like the looks of how it works. Maybe I can get an external gpu as well.
