For Octane C4D V3, Just want to verify, if you have octane lights showing up in say a glossy floor, in order to remove them you must composite with render layers correct? Or is there a new improved method?

There's no way to specifically remove a reflection from the floor and have it exist on other surfaces. You can remove it from all reflective surfaces and have it have very little effect in refractive surfaces with the options under the visibility tag.

Camera Visibility for seeing the light itself.
Shadow visibility for having the light catch light and thus cast shadows.
And General Visibility, which affects whether you see both the light and the reflection (and refraction).
