Hi.
Don't know if I missed something but is it possible to use vdb sequences, just got the first one rendered even if I scrub the timeline, in Modo it changes?
Is there a difference between Modos and Octanes scematic views? If I drop a VDBVoxel and a Volume Item in Modos I get Particle and Voxel source added but not in Octanes (see image)?

Must say that the New NodeGraph is really nice...

Hi - at the moment VDBVoxel/VDB file support is very basic - so it is probably not loading the sequence for an animation. But I should be able to resolve this. The plugin could reload all VDB files each frame of an animation. Ultimately I would like to support VDB sources from Modo simulations, but I'm not sure if this will be possible or not.

That's odd - I haven't noticed it before. I don't have an answer as to why you are seeing this - sorry.

Thanks for the answers and it would be great if the animation bit could be solved.

Hi - I am looking into this issue. How do you setup a VDB sequence as the source to a VDBVoxel source pls?

hi.
I only choose the first .VDB file in the VDB voxel item, seems like Modo automatically selects multiple files if there are in a sequence. Maybe not optimal, not so much choices with sequences!
I have not tried if you can Do that with the schematic viewport and i'm not near a computer right now.

Did you get it working with VDB and sequences? I tried but could not get it to render, probably done something wrong?

Haven't tested any vdb yet. I just tested a simple still with objs and materials.

Hi Niklas - I could not get Modo to load a VDB sequence using this workflow. Do you have a test scene (& VDB sequence) that you can send me which show how you are doing this pls?

Achieving this via the new proxy feature can be done as per https://docs.otoy.com/manuals/products/ ... oxy-files/. Make sure you are running the latest pre-release of the plugin in order for this to work.
