Hi,

I just purchased a second license for my new PC to use network rendering in Modo (Mac). And network rendering is running fine in the standalone version. But in Modo it shows "invalid version 3.1.1."

How can I use the network rendering in Modo? There is no version 3.1.1 for Modo and no 3.0.20.107.901 for Windows.

And the Windows daemon is 3.01.1b. But Modo shows "invalid version 3.1.1". I do not understand the problem.

As per the plugin test release post, you need to use slave version 3.02 for the current version of the Modo plugin. A 3.03.1 build of the Modo plugin should be available in the next few days.

Okay, I installed 3.02, and now Modo shows "invalid version 3.2". And my stand alone version is now not running too. Same error. :-(

The slave and master versions need to match exactly. Which version of the Modo plugin are you using?

Hmm, for me the numbers 3.02 and 3.2 are not exactly the same.

You are using version 3.00, i.e. you have to install a 3.00 slave. Or install a newer version of the Modo plugin. I will fix the version display in the daemon list.

EDIT: In case you are interested: The internal version number (3000020 in your case) has this format:

Code: Select all

A BB CCCC
A    = major version
BB   = minor version
CCCC = revision
Only major and minor version number are guaranteed to match the version name ("3.00" for example). The revision part may not exactly match the part after the second decimal point of the version name.

… you have to install a 3.00 slave.
This is not available. For Windows there are only two versions of octane 3 available: 3.01.1 and 3.02
Or install a newer version of the Modo plugin.
This is not available too. The newest version of the Modo plugin (OS X) is 3.00.

As in my previous post, you can find the 3.00 Standalone here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=54150
And the latest stable Modo plugin based on version 3.02 can be fund here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=42581

EDIT: It's probably better to use version 3.02. The corresponding Standalone 3.02 can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=54805

Ah, so 3.02 and 3.2 is the same version.
But this is not very helpful for Your customers. This is very confusing for them. ;-)

Thank You. :-)
But this brings me to the question: Why does my account not list this version as a download?!?
