C4D plugin not working anymore (read the readme)

Hey,

I bought and installed the latest version of Octane standalone plus C4D plugin (R17).
After setting permissions in the firewall both worked (standalone and plugin),
BUT I got the following error in C4DR17:
ERROR1: tried to start DLL more than once

I then found and deleted a trial c4d-plugin I used in an older version of Cinema 4D(R13).
I deleted all the c4doctane files (in the R17 and the R13 folder) as well as all octane related files in user/library/preferences/maxon/R17 AND R13
Then reinstalled it only in the R17 folder.
Now have an activated and working standalone version.
Cinema 4D R17 not dropping errors,
BUT no Octane tab showing up in Cinema 4D R17.

I have the following files in the Applications/MAXON/C4DR17/plugins/c4doctance folder:
• manual
• res
• c4dOctane_R17.dylib
• liboctane.dylib
• libtbb.dylib
• octane.dat
• readme.txt

Running OSX 10.10.5
Cinema 4D R17
Octane 3.02b

Be sure that having 17.048 or newer version. As should be written in readme

That was the fastest reply ever!
I had 17.016 and now updated to 17.048.
Now the plugin is actually showing up in C4D
BUT I get the DLL error again plus an error saying:



If I try to sign in via the plugin, nothing happens after pressing the signin button.
C4D is also crashing, when I close it.
While Standalone is still working like a charm and connected / activated.
So strange!?

Do you see V3 in licences page? Which standalone works? V3? Have you updated from V2?

I figured it out!
Before I tried around and copied the files in the library/preferences.
I now deleted these and now it's working without any issues!

Interesting. Did you tried the V2 version of plugin before V3? There should not be a relationship for that.

I used a trial in R13 quite a while ago, but deinstalled it before I installed the new version into R17.
