Hi,
When rendering Layer id pass, unseen by camera objects are rendered...
Is it a octane render bug or max plugin bug ?

The layer id render pass renders a colour for all render layers. Even those for those layers that aren't visible. This is not a bug but the expected behaviour.

ok, but it is a special request or it is like that ?
for example I need a shade tree on the ground but I don't want the 3d tree ( I'll place a real tree in photoshop ), if I render a layer id pass (for ground, building,...) I see the 3d tree.... so I need to render again the pass without the tree... :-(

hope this could be taken in consideration. (very important) as an option if someone need the actual workflow.

I assume that the tree is the only object not on the active layer? As a workaround, you can use the render layer mask or if you need different colors per object the object id mask.

cheers,
Thomas
