Hello everyone,

for the past six months I workend on a short film that is very important to me. I would love to share it with you.
Feedback is as always very much appreciated.

SHELL

Death is a disease, growing from the inside beneath the Shell. Cursed blessings trickling down tubes, pushing hope through weak veins. Waiting for blissfull Heaven to return. Heaven is Hell.

Well, behond the very nice quality of that video, I guess it has been done on the basis of much emotion.
I first thought, what a creepy scene, but I understand it is the reflect of a deep feeling.
Congrats for your work.

Wow! Amazing piece of art, incredibly realistic detail and shading - dude, the fingernails are creeping me out :shock: Did you mix multiple shaders for the skin of the "disease charakter" or is it painted somehow? How's the general workflow of getting this type of worn, rotted skin? Keep it up man, fantastic work here :)

Thank you so much to everyone for their kind words. I am really happy that you guys like the film!

@soliworkattack

I only mixed shaders for the environment, the fingernails and the female character, but not for the "Disease". It really helped to export the detail from the zbrush sculpt with xnormals, it generates really detailed and sharp normal maps. Other than that lots of awful references of dead and rotten skin/flesh used inside of Mari.
