Hi,

Thanks for letting us know. Is there any additional detail you can tell us about the crashes? Are the crashes consistent, or does it just occur randomly? A clearer picture will form once we get more feedback from other users as well. Until then, any additional information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

hi remas

it might be when i have the node editor open - sketchup crashes a lot - but right now i can't test, as i have work to do.

Hello mate, no i dont use the node editor...

its not ready yet... :(

When its working i will use every time. Because i use Octane StandAlone so the node editor allow almost everything.

Hi,

I will run tests on the Node Editor. How complex are the materials you are trying to create through the interface? This may help to narrow down the components of the editor that are causing this issue.

Cheers,

Hi Jorgensen,

One thing you should check is that you have the latest CUDA drivers from Nvidia. We've found that using older drivers on Windows 10 can cause stability problems in software such as Octane that performs advanced GPU operations.

Hello there Cap, nice to see you.

Please help me in a simple thing.

Is the node editor working?... my question is because, i can edit in the editor, change some colors materials etc....but when i close viewport i lose all the setting, if i refresh the scene all connections that i made in the node editor are closed and back to default.

Am i missing something in here?
Is there a way to save changes in the node editor?

cheers

At the moment the node editor is experimental and only functional for temporary changes; nothing is saved when you close it. This is only going to be a temporary restriction, a much enhanced node editor will be the next target once we have the Mac version working.

We've wanted to make a Mac plugin available for a long time; every new feature we add before doing the port just makes the port a bit harder, so we want to get the Mac port running before adding any further major enhancements.
